About Grace...
Grace worked as a teacher within Steiner Education for over fifteen years often writing articles and giving talks and workshops regarding the development of young children especially the link between movement and brain development. During this time she also shared her love of creativity and craft imparting her skills to children and adults alike.
In 2017 after a spate of family traumas culminated in her becoming ill she decided re-evaluate her life. Yoga has always been an anchor in Graces’ life since she first started practising twenty years ago when pregnant with her daughter. She trained as a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher first for adults and then for children. She regularly attends workshops and training to keep upgrading her skills and understanding so as to better serve those she is working with.
Grace considers herself a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and this has led her to develop a Creative Mindfulness/ Yoga programme that can be tailored for schools, individuals and business. She also gives workshops on anxiety and how yoga, breath work and mindfulness practices can help alleviate some of the distressing symptoms of anxiety. She is also driven to see yoga becoming accessible to everyone and seeks to bring it to those who may not normally have access to yoga classes. She is passionate about sharing yoga, its healing aspects and its philosophy with as many people as possible.
Grace teaches in various venues around County Limerick and County Clare. Her classes are a fusion of the different styles of yoga that she practises with the focus on building a sense of the poses through alignment and breath, challenging both the body and the mind. Grace is interested in bringing a therapeutic quality to her classes using aromatherapy, pranayama, mindfulness and meditation practices. Grace also hosts day retreats and overseas retreats because she understands the importance of self care and being able to unplug from the daily demands of life, giving oneself time to unwind and recharge without other distractions.
